choosing a topic

1. should marijuana be legalized? marijuana is one of those drugs that is either not cared about, loved, or hate. today it is starting to become as easy to get as alchool and more widely used by many people. the facts are that this drug is much less dangerous then alchool but yet is still illegal, why is this? is due to American greed, doees the government not think they will make money; what is the reason it is illegal and if the law changed how would society change?

2. should busnisess be able to support presidential campaigns? Should huge corrperation be able to throw millions of dollars to specific presidential parties? Does this make presidentail voting less fair? when more money is thrown at something of course something is going to seem a little nicer; what im trying to get at is this fair for the other presidential parties what if the best person that would make president only has one million but another person has 20 million? i feel that each presidential campaign committe should each get the same amount of money from the government or make commercials free so everyone has the same financial status

3. Should peopls have to be born in the US to be president? I feel that there are many people that might want to be president that are not boring in the United States. if they allowed foriegn people to be president there would be more more people to choose from and just a better well rounded decision.

4. should all education be free? there are many people who can not afforid to go to college and it can be hard for some to get a student loan or schoolarships, i feel that if education was free things would be a lot better

  2. I do think that education should be cheaper, maybe not free. Education could not be costless because the campus would need to make some kind of profit to be able to run the facility. I feel that the price of books and supplies is absolutly outragious,it sometimes makes me mad to think of all the money I waste on school materials. If young adults are putting in the efforts to continue their education, then it should be alittle more afortable for the average peroson.

  3. Hi Kevin,
These are all interesting topics! I think number four is great because it is getting harder and harder for students and parents to pay for college. In order for my husband and I to afford the rates for an in-state school in the year 2025 for our son we have to put pieces of our paycheck away now and lock in rates. Otherwise, he won't go. This is insane!

Topic three is also unique. I like the idea of a "well-rounded" president.
